“How good it is to sing praises to our God” (Psalm 147 v. 1)

Grange URC church choir, directed and

accompanied by Sarah Landon (the

minister’s wife), currently has eighteen

members and is always willing to

welcome new singers. Our aim is to

use our musical talents to glorify

God and to enhance the worship of

the church through our contributions

during services, especially at the

major ‘Festivals’ of the church year,

and by teaching new hymns and songs

to the congregation.

We normally meet fortnightly on a Thursday evening from 7.45 pm to 9.00 pm in the church ‘Parlour’ and as well as the serious learning of notes and tunes we usually have a lot of fun too.  Our age range spans from those in their twenties to those in their eighties and we sing all kinds of Christian music from traditional hymns to modern worship songs as well as specially arranged choral pieces.

At Cross Rhythms we see ourselves as an arrowhead. As media our mandate is to be strong and piercing into situations in our locality of North Staffordshire, into our nation and even globally. However we don’t see the whole picture. The heart of Cross Rhythms as an organisation is deeper than that. We believe in collaboration with other organisations whose impact on society is different from our own. As God says he blesses unity and partnership this is vital if we are to really see a difference made in our communities, nation and world.
