Higher Bebington Rangers meet from 7-30 - 9pm on Thursday evenings, roughly fortnightly, in term time in The Hub at our church and our main aim is to HAVE FUN! There are about 10 to 12 girls in our group, drawn from several local schools and the local sixth form college.

Rangers is for young women aged 14 - 18 who wish to carry on with Guiding after the age of 14, or for new girls in the Ranger age group who wish to join Guiding for the first time! Several of the group also help with local Rainbow, Brownie and Guide units, working towards their Young Leader certificates.
There are also opportunities available to work on the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme or for International travel.

The Ranger Programme is based on Creativity, Community Service, Skills for the Future, Health and wellbeing and Outdoor adventure. The choices of activities within this framework is up to the girls themselves and gives plenty of opportunity for a flexible and varied programme.

In our regular meetings we enjoy outdoor cooking, crafts, indoor cooking, games, singing, themed evenings, quizzes, badges, Wii, and outings such as bowling and trips to The Body Shop, crazy golf and the cinema. We have supported local charities, raised money for the RNLI, had visitors from Dogs for Good and Asylum Link ......... and much, much more! The picture to the left was our Disability Awareness Challenge.

As well as all this, we like going away on sleepovers, camps and holidays together, planning our meals and activities, enjoying the outdoor life and having fun! Here are some pictures from the Murder Mystery Sleepover, Cooking at Camp (in the rain!) and Raft Building at Guy's Farm - they actually floated!

The possibilities are endless and limited only by resources and the imagination of the girls. If you are interesting in joining us or would like further information, please make contact using the form below.

We’d love to see you.
